MAGFLO™ ETA-4 Automatic Air Vent

MAGFLO™ ETA-4 Automatic Air Vent

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Durable Construction
  • High-Temperature Resistance
  • Maintenance-Friendly
  • Reliable Operation

Product Description:

The MAGFLO™ ETA-4 Automatic Air Vent is designed for use in plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting systems to continuously remove trapped air without the need for manual bleeding. Trapped air can lead to excessive noise, reduced accuracy of control valves, and diminished performance of heating and cooling equipment. The ETA-4 effectively releases air as the system is filled with water and automatically isolates to prevent water loss.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Durable Construction:
Made from DZR brass for excellent resistance to dezincification and high general corrosion.
  • High-Temperature Resistance:
Float is constructed from polyethylene, which withstands high temperatures.
  • Maintenance-Friendly:
Can be disassembled for easy inspection and cleaning.
  • Reliable Operation:
Impurities generally do not affect functionality, as the maximum float line of water is always lower than the valve seal.

Installation:

  • Vertical Position:
Ensure the vent is installed vertically to keep the float in the correct orientation.
  • Convenient Servicing:
Install with a shut-off valve or service check valve to allow component servicing under pressure without draining the system.
  • Optimal Placement:
Position the vent at the highest point in the system for improved venting efficiency.
  • Initial Setup:
After installation, back off the vent cap two turns to allow proper air venting. Leave the cap on to prevent impurities from entering the air vent.

Pressure & Temperature Specifications:

  • Max. Working Pressure: 232 psi (1624 kPa)
  • Max. Working Temperature: 120°C

Connection: Male Threaded

Applications:

  • Plumbing Systems: Efficiently removes trapped air from residential and commercial plumbing systems, improving system performance and reducing maintenance needs.
  • HVAC Systems: Ensures optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems by continuously releasing trapped air that can cause noise and reduce efficiency.
  • Fire Fighting Systems: Provides reliable air removal in fire protection systems to maintain system integrity and effectiveness.
  • Industrial Water Systems: Ideal for use in industrial water systems where trapped air can affect equipment performance and operational reliability.
  • Hot Water Systems: Protects hot water systems by eliminating air pockets that can lead to noise and reduced system efficiency.
  • Heating Systems: Enhances the operation of heating systems by continuously removing air that can interfere with heat transfer and system efficiency.
